Marriage Visa

Featured Replies

I have a marriage Visa that runs out this month and I have not transferred my 400,000 Baht into my Thai Bank account in time Old age or what ever you call it ( just forgetful I hope ) So my money will not be in the bank for the required time. Can I get an extension or do I have to leave the country thanks in advance

I believe you will have to leave..

Transfer the money now then go to Savannahket, get a single entry Non O and apply for the extension when the time comes.

Or you might be able to get a 60 day extension based on your current visa to allow the money to mature in the bank ?

I assume you are not meeting the 2 months in the bank requirement and not thinking it is 3 months.

You can apply for a 60 day extension to visit your wife and then apply for the one year extension of stay (it is not a visa) based upon marriage.

Thanks for that Ubonjoe I'm short about three weeks do I just go in and ask for an extension first or wait and go in on my renewal date

You don't need to wait until your extension ends. Apply for the 60 day extension when you normally would do the one year extension.

Your wife will need to go with you when you apply.
