I am currently holding a 3 month nonB visa obtained in KL and am up for the one year extension of it

question I have is what is the common asking price of agencies to get this extension done for you?

I understand lots of paperwork is required for it from the company (which is my wife company)

so anyone went through this who did you use and how much did it cost you

the agency we are working with and deals with our company quoted us a price but just want to know what the norm would be?

Why do you want to use a company? You have to provide the paperwork, and tax payment receipts for your salary anyway.

Here is my list of the required paperwork in my area (Phuket) for a one year extension of permission to stay based on working in the Kingdom of Thailand.

Visa extension on the basis of employment 777 2551 Case 2.1t.pdf

The papers refer to the previous police order, but the requirements in the case of employment are unchanged under the current Police Order 327-2557 Case 2.1.

The actual fee is 1,900 THB plus 1,000/3,800 THB for a single/multiple re-entry permit if required.

Judge for yourself if you need to pay a lawyer/agent for filing these papers.

Things that may be an issue with your wife's company:

1) Two years of tax accounts required showing adequate profit to support your 'taxable' salary,

2) Tax records of tax on your required salary over the past year.

3) Tax/Social Security payment evidence for other employees.

4) VAT Registration.

Then you will definitely not be able to obtain an extension of permission to stay based on 327-2557 Case 2.1 Working in Thailand.

However you can definitely obtain a one year extension of permission to stay under case 2.18 (Thai Family and Working) of Police Order 327-2557.

The paperwork for this is far less exacting and definitely does not require a lawyer/agent.

You require marriage/address/family home evidence, wife for interview - to establish relationship is 'de facto and de jure', some company papers, WP plus evidence of tax paid on 40,000 THB pcm.
