Visa ED - Internship - 3 months/6months

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

I am a French student in Internship in Bangkok, I am now under a 3month visa ED.

I started my visa 1st January and so its finish on 31 March.

I am in a 6 month internship so I need to extend my visa, the french embassy didn't answer my message and I saw different point of view about this kind of visa, especially for people who join thai university.

Do you know how to do? I need to leave Thailand before 31 ? How can I get a new visa ED? Is there a risk to be under tourist visa ?

Please advice me

Thanks in advance

Clément

Unless you are attending a school or a University registered with the Ministry of Education you will not be able to get an extension of stay.

Most people on internships have a multiple entry non-ed visa.

You might be able to get another single entry non-ed visa at a nearby embassy or consulate.

This from the Vientiane embassy website. http://vientiane.thaiembassy.org/vientiane/en/consular/consular_check/

"5. For those who wish to attend seminar, or training session, or internship, a recommendation letter
from the concerned organisation addressed to the Embassy is also required "
You could contact them to find out exactly what is needed.
You must leave by 31st if that is the permitted to stay date you got on entry.
