banagan
Hi guys, can I get a resident permit on a 1 year ED Visa? If not, how do I go about getting a resident permit? Cheers
Ginkas
What do you mean by "resident permit"? If you mean 'Permanent Residence', no, you won't get that on a one year ED-Visa. Try Google for Thailand Permanent Residency which gives a link to the Thai Immigration. Quite complicated and a lot of things are necessary. onthedarkside
I guess you mean Certificate of Residence from Immigration. Yes, but you need proof of address, be registered at your address by landlord etc.
LivinLOS
Now that its 500b for the letter, they give those out to anyone who pays the 500b.. Someone I know went with only a 30 day entry stamp and a copy of a tabien baan (no ID card of the owner, no rental contract) and pay the money, letter the next day.
