Seems that Google is recognizing a lot of traffic through the hotel network. Not much to worry about. This can as well happen with VPN connections. Google considers to many requests from the same network as a bot request and is therefore verifying that a human being is actually trying to access their site.

Agree!

Happens to me sometimes when I use a VPN, where many different people use the same IP adress.

I also managed to make Google suspicious by doing very many queries for cached contents of a website (forum) trying to save lost content.

So the Google SW assumed I might be a "robot" tongue.png as seen in the text of your opening post.

I was even "suspended" for a certain time.

Happens to me also at my university connection including the 'suspension'. In this case it is due to having so many shared connections on the university backbone and students being, well, students, unusual behavior is being detected. Happens so often now that I had to set my default search engine to Yahoo or turn my VPN on if I want to use Google.
