Popular Post WinnieTheKhwai
^ I wasn't there. But for all I know he may have been the most sensible of the three. (Ending the fracas so his short-tempered wife could get treatment, and the violent Frankenwoman booted off to jail.) Until I hear otherwise, of course. Which I won't. Making this discussion a little pointless. (But don't let that stop anyone. ) Edited March 16, 2015 by WinnieTheKhwai

MrWorldwide
What happened to the husband...... just surprised he didn't intervene to defend his wife. Good point, although high-heel shoes do come in pairs ... Seriously, that is one very nasty weapon when its wielded in an overhead fashion - a Danish guy was killed by a ladyboy with a stiletto heel on Soi 7 a couple of years back. I'd particularly like to see the Laos contingent sent home, but if it hasnt happened with the General running the country I'm guessing its not going to happen. Popular Post CraigSchuler
Anybody who visits Walking street should be smart enough to know that the place is full of working girls and lady boys. If it offends you, you might want to choose a different holiday destination. I just wonder if the farang lady was liquor'ed up and was a bit rude with the LB? I've never been hit with a shoe for just refusing an offer. Make any Thai loose face and things can get ugly pretty quick!
MrWorldwide
The photo of her head wound in the main story at P-One leads me to believe she is a very lucky woman - nasty. Difficult to know how you would react in a situation like this - do you try to rush her before she can get the shoe off or simply turn and run the other way ? They're feral once they get fired up and the meth epidemic isnt helping.
maidee
could it be the same ladyboy that did exactly the same to other tourists in previous article about one being stabbed with a nail on a shoe ?
z42
Pretty savage wound, hope the victim gets some kind of compo from the perp here. But it seriously begs the question who the hell would take their wife to Pattaya, unless of course they're into swinging.... But then again there is no accounting for taste is there
Popular Post lovetotravel
Until severe penalties are handed out for things like this, nothing will change. It's an assault. Pure and simple. The ladyboy should be required to pay for all medical fees as well as a large fine. 500B won't cut it. A few days in the pokey wouldn't hurt either.

Popular Post Thai Travel Bug
Same old story, and it will never change.....Smile, be polite, enjoy the frivolity for what it is, but don't ever become insulting or abusive, or it may turn out bad. Time and time again, it is usually a little bit of alcohol, or a lot, a complete misunderstanding of the situation, usually followed by some terse words that get you into trouble. People are on holiday in a destination far removed from what they know. Enjoy the celebration that Thailand can be, and the mixing of culture, and 99% of the time, your fine.

realenglish1
Maybe he enjoyed the fact that 'girls' were fighting over him. It was not 2 girls It was woman and a guy with boobs and a D=$#. That is what a lady boy is and good they charged "him" with assault. Notice in the report they refer to the lady boy as HIM

SamuiAxe
Maybe things are different on Samui? I have never, ever been addressed by a ladyboy, (or working girl for that matter), if I was accompanied by a woman! Never! They know that you are off-limits when you have some lady walking next to you, it's a code.. No idea why this code doesn't seem to apply in Pattaya? More rough neighbourhood perhaps? Many tourists go to Walking street just to take a look. Interesting that you and the people who "liked" your post think its ok to hit a woman.

Yann55
The ladyboy 'propositioned her husband' ??? The lady boy made a deep cut in her forehead with his/her high heel shoe ? Nah.... Impossible, a ladyboy would never do that. These guys are polite, considerate, sweet, understanding, respectful, and they wouldn't hurt a fly.
