Honda Accord on gas?

Featured Replies

Ive got an 87 accord 2l. It runs on 95 benzine and I want to rig it for gas but every Thai guy I ask shakes his head. Why? I've seen all sorts on gas, I know it will eventually kill my car but not quickly..

The car has only done 78,400km.

Gas or not?

I heard of an old accord running over 400K kms on lpg. Didn't seem to be a problem. I think many problems start as those who want to run gas want to save money. They end up not maintaining and tuning their gas system to save on costs too. So the system ends up running poorly. 78K on the original 1987 motor? Amazing! If that is genuine I'd want to keep my car original. Fuel is not that expensive these days, so unless you drive a lot, it will take ages to recover the original outlay.

Its a completely genuine car, the 1stcowner had it 20 odd years just to potter around in. He sold it to my friend and now I have it.

Very good point about the costs, it would take ages to get back. Plus gas is slooooooowly rising.

Best leave it and enjoy.

Thanks!DavisH
