March 24, 201510 yr Two questions: 1. Can anyone recommend a good AC repair company in Bangkok with strong English skills. 2. The reason I ask is because my landlady installed an old 36000 BTU split AC in my living room that is not blowing cool enough air. I need to get it checked out by someone other than her moderately competent handyman who did the installation. Long story..... However perhaps someone can tell me if this is significant: When the compressor is running there is a loud and annoying hissing noise as the gas runs through the inside unit. The "technician" says the gas pressure is correct, but I have my doubts. Of course their idea of checking it is holding their hand in front of the blowing air and saying it is yen........
March 24, 201510 yr .. company in Bangkok with strong English skills. Do you not have any Thai friends or acquaintances or neighbors (or the landlady) who could be on hand when the service person comes? Companies don't have language skills and expecting that everyone who works at any particular company is fluent in conversational English may be a stretch. Besides, if you explain the problem to someone with a but of English at the company , I doubt the actual service person and you are going to need to engage in lengthy conversation.

March 25, 201510 yr I've used Aircon Genie before. Office spoke decent English... can't remember how much the repairmen spoke- I know the office did call me one point during the procedure to check everything was okay and to explain what the repairmen were doing, so they seem pretty good on that side of things. http://www.aircongenie.com
