NanLaew
Jack and Bella are lovable shih tzu's that want to escape from the Songkran mayhem so are seeking a nice, clean and friendly doggie hotel in the Pattaya area that doesn't charge the same rates as a 2-star guest house for the 2-legged sorts. I recall seeing a few places on Soi SCC but that was a while ago. I am out of the country so any fresh advice is greatly appreciated, phone numbers even more so. Thanks, NL Edited March 25, 2015 by NanLaew
joskydive1
I have just opened the 'Pattaya Pet Resort'. Go Soi Nerb Plumban and turn into Soi 24. Follow the road for a 1km until you come to a sharp bend. On this bend you will see the pet resort with massive posters of Scooby Do in cartoon. Kennels are large, clean, aircon and webcam. Plenty of running area, swimming pool and grass. There is also a restaurant and bar there so you can sit and check that your babies are setteling down. 091 205 8518 You can check out the photo's of the place in Facebook too.
ongengwai
I have got a Toy Poodle (3.3kg) and Westie (8.5kg) myself. My wife and me live in Map Prachan, very very very close to the Siam Country Club with their hugeeeee grass field. I work full time, my wife stays at home studying and help taking care of our bundles of joys. Our dogs are very very well behaved, unspayed, toilet trained. They are not aggressive at all, they can perform tricks, especially the toy poodle. We take them out all the time with us - to open air restaurants, to bars, to the Siam Country Club grassfield. We shower them 2 times a week, and we check their ticks and fleas every day. They sleep indoor with us. They are extremely fortunate dogs. I am open to taking care of your Shih Tzu at THB 400 per day per dog. Though I cannot guarantee you yet as we have not finalised our plan for Songkran. By the time being, it seems like we will be staying put in Pattaya, but we are not 100% sure yet. If your Shih Tzu are free of tick and flea like our dogs, they can stay in the same room in the crate during the nights. If not, they will stay in the crate in a different room (served by fan). During the day they will have regular access to the whole house / garden, and join us for any outdoor activities. We will shower them as a minimum every 3 days. We will send you their photos every day. You need to provide us your dog food, bowls, toys, collar + leash, and shampoo if you are peculiar on this. If you dogs are not spayed I will put on belly band on our dogs to prevent intercourse. Call me up on 0818509300 (or Line, whatsapp, text on the same number). If interested, we can arrange for you to visit our home etc, and we can elaborate more and show you our own dogs. *Note : we are not professional pet caretaker. Just want to provide some company to our own dogs, and in general we will treat your dogs like how we treat our own. http://ewo.asia/Tiaochap.png Edited March 25, 2015 by ongengwai

stenor
The best kennel without a doubt is Border Jacks. Air conditioned kennels, huge swimming pool, park, assault course, a nice cafeteria and great caring staff. We have been using it for 3 years and find it's a great place run by lovely people who are David and Toy. Phone numbers: David 087 480 7003 Toy: 081 295 1863.
Udox
I have used the pet clinic directly opposite Bangkok Pattaya hospital on Sukhumvit road several times. I have never had a problem and pay 200 baht per day(Shittzu). I guess its wherever you feel comfortable leaving your pet as to your final choice.

Spaniel
Of all the places listed I can highly recommend Thai Pet Care, noted in post number 6. We had left our dog there many times over the years.
NanLaew
Thanks for all the input, very much appreciated. Mrs NL has been calling and getting quotes and has made her decision. I am pretty sure Jack and Bella will be chuffed to bits too.

By the way my gf rang a while ago and was told that you only accept "the small dog" - is this still the case? (We have 2 GSDs) Scooby Doo was not that small........
