recycled
Now that this little charade along with finding the alleged stash of high explosives dumped in bushes last week has played out, they will all be returned to the police armory where they most likely came from. Stash = hoard (noun) hide, hoard (verb). If somebody has a stash of weapons for sinister purposes they would have been hidden not just dumped..... 1,730 suspects arrested - apprehended (which one is it? Being apprehended means you are taken to the police station for questioning. Being arrested means you are formally charged.) and not one photo of or finger pointing at the accused. Police seized 158 guns and arrested 1,730 suspects. Of the 1,730 suspects apprehended, 180 of them were involved with weapons. So one has to make more presumptions in that there must be more than one person volunteering to own one of the guns for the sake of the exercise. How do you get so many arrest warrants for so many unarmed individuals and why do you arrest them if they haven't done anything wrong? Where are they all being held or have they all been bailed. Is it too much to ask the media to do some basic 101 investigative journalism to report the real news. More than likely the way it operates under the junta is as follows: Journo's sit on their fat ass at HQ drinking coffee, full days stories are emailed to them by General Pepe Le Pew, they are interpreted into primary school English, passed to the editor, prioritized and printed.

SOUTHERNSTAR
They must have a special unit that moves the weapons around for each "bust". I live here and there were no road blocks no extra police activity - but the weapons keep on popping out.

From your questions I take it you are not that long here, yet ? Still a lot to learn, hey ? In many third world countries, especially the ones located in South America and Africa, the government has links with the underworld and the mafia. In Thailand the government is the mafia. I live here and there were no road blocks no extra police activity - but the weapons keep on popping out. Not correct. When coming from Pranburi towards Hua Hin, at Kao Tao there was a massive road block on Petkasem Rd. near Soi 156, approx. 4 km from suanson where the meeting will be held today, with more than 40 police officers, no army in sight. Another one on the Hua Hin-Pala U Road all day yesterday too...

No, not long, married my Mon wife from Ratchaburi in 1971, I have 3 children and 5 grandchildren part Thai. Retired living in mid north Thailand. From your comments you seem to be a little naive, the piece I wrote was more tongue in cheek than an inquiry. I probably forgot more about Thailand than you have learnt, hey! Don't surmise, it can be mistaken for arrogance.
