Ben E. King..........Drifters........Sadly just passed on........

Too many of the great soul singers of the sixties are leaving us. Percy Sledge was only a few weeks ago - the first album i ever bought was Percy Sledge with James Brown a week later. .

But Mr Trans Am, you are damn well right about Ben E King being one of the best Lead Singers . What a smooth melodic voice ..Others , also equally as good were Sam Cooke, the Reverend Al Green, Garnett Mimms and Walter Jackson for starters .
