Docno
Planning to go to Pakse for Songkran with my gf. Traveling from Ubon. One of her Thai friends would like to accompany us but does not have a passport. I've read elsewhere that she would be allowed to stay 3 nights. Is that the case? What does she need to bring with her? Is there anything she needs to do on the Ubon side? Thanks in advance.
Thanyaburi Mac
She'll need to get Border Pass which will be stamped at both Thai Immigration then at Lao Immigration, going and coming. She should verify that the Border Pass is available at Chong Mek crossing. She'll need her Thai ID card. Mac
Tomtomtom69
I thought the maximum stay was only 2 nights and 3 days. Travel outside of the province entered is not permitted.

BlueScouse
If you are in Ubon you can get the border pass there instead of Chong Mek. The tessabahn office at Big C in Ubon -near the ring road-does them. otherwise the office in Chong Mek is just before the markets, by the car parking area. get it the day before, saves a bit of time in Chong Mek.
