NON-IMMIGRANT ED VISA extension

Featured Replies

Hello,

I make an internship in a company in Bangkok for 6 months.

My NI ED Visa runs for 90 days only, so I will need to extend it for 90 other days.

Can anyone tell me how I extend it and what documents I have to fill ?

Thank you

Unless you are doing your internship with a local school or university there is no extension you can get.

Most people doing internships get a multiple entry non-ed visa.

You may be able to get another single entry non-ed visa at a nearby embassy or consulate. If not you could get a tourist visa.

As said without the support of a school/university it is unlikely that you will succeed in obtaining an extension.

Similarly, it will , without supporting paperwork from a school/university, prove problematic to secure a new ED visa.

You best bet for extending your stay if the above requirements cannot be met is a tourist visa but be aware it is illegal to work whilst in the country with a tourist visa !

Thank you for your posts.

I saw can apply for extension with a work permit

You could apply for a one year extension of stay based upon working if you had a work permit. It would require a salary of 50k baht. But that would require a non-b visa.

<script type='text/javascript'>window.mod_pagespeed_start = Number(new Date());</script>
