Will be renewing a one year retirement visa in October.

Question--How many days before the actual expiration date can you renew, one week, two weeks etc?

My expiration date is on a Sunday, Oct. 22, does that change any limits imposed?

My understanding is up to 30 days prior to expiration.

One or two week should not be a problem. I usually do about a week early.

But leave yourself enough time so that if for any reason immigration find a fault with your paperwork you have enough time, allowing for weekends and public holidays, to get back home and correct the paperwork and re-apply before your visa extension expires.

My period of stay expires on October 4.

I have checked with Nan immigration and was told I could apply from 5 September.
