Popular Post iamguava
I would like to be a more active member of the forums but the ridiculous amount of advertising really kills it for me. Photograph posts become distorted by the silly amount of "targeted advertising" that are forced into some posts ... the aspect ratio of some pics is totally ruined by the forum adverts and the whole experience is dominated by these adverts. I try to look through a thread and want to appreciate the photos but so often they are ruined by the post being overpowered by adverts. I understand that this website is paid for by advertising revenue, just wish it could be implemented in a less obtrusive manner.

samuijimmy
I agree, that bright yellow band across the top of the page (yesterday at least) was very distracting, especially when viewing photos... Not there this morning.... that's good!
Goshawk
the aspect ratio of some pics is totally ruined by the forum adverts yep . . solution (for future posters of large images) = post a smaller version here, then add a link to your Flickr, 500px, whatever, etc.... job done! Rob8891
Completely agree with IAG. It would seem management bows to the almighty baht and to hell with usability or member's enjoyment. Big yellow banner advertising a very second-rate flight search.
Popular Post Tywais
Sorry guys but have to put my Admin cap on. Please note this forum rule, as such some posts removed. 25) No public discussion is allowed with regard to advertisements or sponsors, or methods of blocking advertisements. The yellow banner can be removed permanently once you click on it. Topic on it in forum support. I will bring this up with George if the Photo forum could be made an exception.
Rob8891
Thanks Tywais. Always good to know there is a listening ear nearby. The ads problem is by far the worst when accessing the forum via the mobile phone, since I have installed (something I apparently cannot discuss ) on my laptop.
