Polluted water affects North Pattaya Beach



PATTAYA: -- A potential environmental disaster was uncovered on Monday at a remote beach in the Naklua area after polluted waters were seen and unexplained deposits were found on the beach.

Clean-up teams were immediately sent to the Beach to remove the deposits which some said were of an oily composition.

Khun Egarat, a Marine Specialist from the Pattaya Harbor Department was sent to the scene to analyze the water and deposits on the beach and was quick to reject claims this was an oil slick.

He claimed there was absolutely no harmful elements contained within the sludge and no harm would come to marine life or tourists who chose to swim in the water.

pollution in the sea and beach is not harmfull????? So what benefits do we have swimming here ? 555 555 etc

Another ship dumped its bilges, either going to or coming from Laem Chabang. Nothing new here, move along please.

I was on Wong Amat beach yesterday morning and the water there was filthy and smelling foul-I was amazed to see others swimming in it

Wherever you are in the world the sea is just a giant sewer full of the vilest stuff you can imagine. Anybody who swims in it or exposes their skin to it is foolish.
