April 7, 201511 yr Hi guys, Im gonna start working for a new hotel on the 20th of April. Now, my previous hotel provided work permit and non B visa, but how is it gonna go for my new hotel? Can they transfer the work permit to the new place and the visa? Or do i have to go out of the country again make a new visa and my new company has to make a new work permit? Surely there's an easier way to do this. I hope. Thank you.
April 7, 201511 yr Work permits and extensions of stay cannot be transferred. If you have a valid non-b visa from an embassy or consulate it will remain valid. Your new employer needs to apply for a work permit for you and get a work permit application approval letter from the Labor Ministry. If you have an extension of stay from immigration you would then need a letter from your current employer stating the date your job ends to have your extension cancelled. Then with documents from your new employer and the work permit approval letter you would apply for a new extension on that day. Then when your current work permit is canceled you new one would be issued.
