Greek caught with 353 fake passports

BANGKOK: -- A Greek national was arrested at Don Muang Airport on Thursday night as he was about to smuggle out 353 fake passports.

Fotios Manolopoulos, 25, was waiting to board a flight out of the country when customs officials asked to search his bags following a tip from tourist police. They found fake passports in the bag _ 199 Belgian, 106 French and 48 Turkish.

Tourist Police chief Maj-Gen Panya Mamen said fake passports produced in Thailand were in high demand.
