I have a double entry visa (first half coming up to having an extension). I have all the docs needed (medical, financial,, house, etc). Embassy financial doc is good until June and all others are up to date, But I hear that you can only get retirement change over is in BKK. But then I hear that there are other locations. Anyone have any information and/or suggestions of what I need to do etc.

Medical is not needed.

At this time the only place that can give you authoritative information is your immigration office, or immigration help line.

Bangkok immigration is the only location that can approve a change of visa status to get a non immigrant visa.

They have authorized some nearby offices to accept the applications and forward them to Bangkok for approval.

Unless you live in or near Bangkok you best option is to go out for a single entry non-o visa for being 50 or over in Vientiane or Penang. Just attach a copy of your income letter to the application and show them the original so you can use it to apply for your extension.
