I was so disappointed today after walking away empty handed from the Lad Phrao location. I had not read carefully the postings in this forum regarding what kind of services are handled by which immigration office at the present time. Which translated to my not being able to hand in my retirement extension renewal at Ladphrao today.

Tomorrow I am going to Chaeng Wattana for that. It’ll be my first. Is there a queue system where they hand out tickets to be served for the day, and if you come after all those tickets are given out, then you won’t be seen? I plan to get there after their lunch break , say 2pm-ish to avoid the morning rush, is that a good time or will it be too late?

I know it will be a bad day, just the last day before Songkran. Maybe I should wait for the week after the holiday? The reason I seem to hurry because I got my income affidavit from the embassy, it has today April 09 date and I don’t want it to get too “old” before I hand it in to immigration. My current extension is going to expire May 04, so I still have a bit of time to dither. How “old” can the income affidavit get and still be acceptable to immigration? One week, two weeks, one month?

Embassy income letters are good for 6 months.

If above post is right, then avoid just before and just after songkran.. it may be a mad house.

That give out queue numbers. Only if you went very late in the afternoon (4 pm perhaps) would you not get a number.

I would wait until after the holiday. Immigration will accept a income affidavit that is up to 6 months old.
