PM received list of allegedly corrupt officials

BANGKOK: -- Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha said Friday that he had already received a list of allegedly corrupt officials from the National Anti-Corruption Commission of the Government Sector.

The prime minister said that he had not seen the list yet but admitted that there were some directors-general among the list. For the next step, he said he would call a meeting of officials of the agencies whose men appeared on the list for a discussion on how they would deal with the cases.

Asked whether Section 44 would be invoked to deal with some of the cases, the prime minister explained that the law only empower military personnel to serve as civilian law enforcement officers to help their civilian counterparts in order to speed up the cases.

He said that ordinary laws would still be used to deal with the cases to ensure fairness to all concerned.

Meanwhile, government sector’s NACC secretary-general Prayong Preeyachit said that there are 100 officials in the list that he submitted to the prime minister for consideration.

He added that his agency would wrap up similar list every month for submission to the prime minister.

More likely, get the process started. Military personnel don't have to worry about the repercussions of prosecuting somebody's "little mate".

And so the nights of the long knifes begin...the arrest and executions of opponents......witch hunts ...lists...fear.

Insidious elitist purging ....they say one hundred but ten thousand most likely will be arrested....

Then YS receive ten years jail or worse.

My advice is monitor here the situation and be open to an exit.

This is the real deal.

War could be looming

All end up transfered to an inactive post like the police? Transfer to Dubai? Remain quiet in China, Cambodia, Laos. Stay at home, wait a week, return..as though nothing has happened?

If the huevos are going to be swung, then Swing them in duces..whistling.gif

Probably the most pressing problem in Thailand, sorting corruption should be numero uno on the agenda.

So do they use art 44 to give it the knock out punch, no that wouldn't be fair.

I recently read up about the Sakdina system, says it all. They are backward with little hope for advancement, they need to ask the French about guillotine design.

Ok here is a peaceful solution to all this.

Let's organise a football match between the best of Bangkok, probably Army United ( how appropriate) and the best of the rest, probably Buriram.

If Army win we get to keep Article 44 if Buriram win we get an election.

....and there's ten minutes to go and Buriram lead 3-1... Oh dear there has been an armed pitch invasion from the Bangkok supporters.

Oh well there goes democracy (again)

Please use discretion in your references to the government. Phrases which can be considered as anti-coup will be removed. Referring to Thailand or the government as a dictatorship, military dictatorship or other such terms will be removed.

Nothing would surprise from this list , the impression I get is the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing , you are trying to stamp out corruption and then about turn and become pals with China, the king makers of corruption. coffee1.gif
