Has anybody seen this stuff for sale here? I can't find the dry stuff that you spray on stains then brush off. Only stuff I can find on eBay won't deliver here and I can't fit my sofa in the washing machine.

Please share if you find something - yesterday I looked at our soon to be old sofa and thought I'd better clean it up a bit before the new one arrives and was wondering how I was going to do it. I thought about looking in Rimping or Central Foodhall for a can of spray on carpet/fabric cleaner but wasn't sure if that kind of thing would have made it here.

There is a product sold by motorcycle shops for cleaning the inside of helmets that might serve. It's a spray-on foam that you allow to sit for a few minutes, rub with a dry cloth, and then allow to dry. It really doesn't get the surface 'wet.' Just a bit damp. I bought mine in the motorcycle supply shop on Sri Donchai Rd, diagonally west across from the book store.

Yeah I've already tried something similar but with no success.

This is the type of thing I'm looking for...post-46734-0-27364000-1429071541_thumb.j

Thank you Brommers, I'll try that when they stop throwing water, hopefully tommorrow. It MAY be better than the motorbike one, but that's a backup. Mr K says we shouldn't bother, we rent furnished and we're buying our own custom made sofa and giving the owner their old one back, but I can't help myself and need to clean it. I've even thought of using that nifty steam cleaner you passed on to me, for which I'll be eternally gratefu, but think it might be a bit too much as the fabric is quite delicate.

In the past I've use this very successfully, probably the same thing (and the same as Sharktooth's)

Check Homepro. They sell 3M stain removal spray and 3M stain proofing spray. I have used them on my lounge suite.

Cheers, I'll give that a bash tomorrow.

Found it eventually in Homepro. Unfortunately not a dry spray and... it doesn't work.

Thanks for being the guinea pig. We're about to go to Rimping at Iron Bridge, I'll see what they have and if anything will try it and report back. Also have to go to Tesco later for the cheap voddy rocket fuel if it isn't too hot, so I'll see what they have.
