shaggy1969
Hello good people of Isaan Are there any photographers amongst you good folk? did you know that there is a Photography Forum on TVF? I warmly invite you all to come and have a look for yourselves, and hopefully share your own images of Thailand. We have many topics running at this time, varying from fun topics to more serious photographic genres! It does not matter what level of photographer you are – currently we have the full range from “happy-snappers” right up to seasoned professionals: the fact is that we all support each other and can offer friendly positive criticism and support. There really is no need to worry if you are “good enough” – everyone starts somewhere. Just a random set of recent photos from our members. Also for the ornithologists amongst you,we have a special thread dedicated just for you. Come on over folk, share you own photos,or just drop by and enjoy the images of our photo forum members, see something you like..maybe even hit the like button.I am sure that our members would appreciate it. Cheers, hope to see you soon at the Photography and Arts forum Shaggy
lostinisaan
I must have thousands of images to share....Sorry the first ones are mixed...some from Mukdahan's friendship bridge, some of former students, etc... I must have photos from all over Thailand, but most of them from Isaan.
shaggy1969
Can't fault your enthusiasm, It doesn't matter where the photos are taken,as long as it is in Thailand. Click on this link to the Photography and Arts forum Have a look around the different topics and see where your photos fit best.....some of the images in your post would fit quite nicely into our Wat thread. Don't worry about them being mostly from Isaan,it is a wonderful part of Thailand and is where most of my photos are from.

JLCrab
The story of the above photo is simple: It was the young girl's first day at the school and everything was new to her. However I do at times wonder where she is now.

willyumiii
I too am an avid amature photographer in Issan. Unfortunately, at a Songkran celebration in Chokchai on Wednesday night, an extremely intoxicated Thai gentlemen dumped a bucket of water on my FUJIFILM FineiPix1800 digital camera. I have done everything I can imagine to dry it out, but it is still not functioning. Does anyone have any ideas about what I can to to get it working again or know of a place ( I live south of Korat in Chokchai ) where I might get it repaired? I love photography and my camera. I almost feel like I have lost a child! Here is one of the last photos I took with it on Wednesday night. She is a friend...be nice please! shaggy1969
I too am an avid amature photographer in Issan. Did you take the battery out straight after it was drenched in water? Have you tried putting the camera in a bag of rice?if you have a sack of rice, place the camera on top of it with the batter door open. This has worked for me in the past,as the rice will soak up any moisture inside the camera.Might have to leave it there a day or two. Similar idea as putting some rice grains inside a salt pot. lostinisaan
Ubon bike week many moons ago...no matter if you're Thai or a foreigner. Ride To Live. Live To Ride. In memory of the guy on the left. he's the only guy of his chapter who made it to Ubon on his BMW. He'd a terrible accident on the way back to Phuket and finally passed away. You're not gone, you're only somewhere else and keep the door open for others to follow......RIP. It was a lot of fun and a pleasure to meet you. lostinisaan
Our dog in miserable circumstances after a liaison with street dog...... First we thought we'd have a real baby hippo. Please see first photo. But now she's almost two months old and so sweet that we can't give her away. We wanted to have real Siberian Huskey puppies, because a Thai right around the corner has two male Huskeys. But nature sometimes plays crazy games with us. Isn't she sweet? We named her "Naamwhaan." <deleted> cares if it's a "real Huskey" when you look at her.
