I just got my 90 day in Rayong, and they told me they got not issue proof of residency there anymore, I have to go through the American Embassy. Anyone have thoughts on this?

There are many immigration offices that will not do a certificate of residency. It is not something they have to do.

Unless your local police station or Amphoe will do one the embassy will be your only choice.
