September 4, 200619 yr Hi, I will renew my 1 yesr period of stay on basis of retirement. My new period of stay will expire early October 2007 If I apply for a multi re-entry permit together with my new period of stay, will it be valid for maximum one year from date of issue or will it be valid until the end of my new period of stay ? Thanks
September 4, 200619 yr It will be valid until the date stamped on your current permitted to stay stamp. Get the extension first and then get the re entry permit.

I have the intention to apply for a new period of stay from 4 October 2006 to 4 October 2007 Once I get that, intend to apply for a multi re-entry permit. Will it be valid until 4 October 2007 (well over one year from now) or only until one year from now (before the end of my period of stay) ? Sorry I was not clear the first time Thanks
September 4, 200619 yr t will be valid until the date stamped on your current permitted to stay stamp Your current permitted to stay stamp will have 4 October 2007 and your re entry permit if obtained after it is issued will have the same date. By "current" I mean the date in your passport when you apply for the re entry permit.
