Saturday Banking.

Recommended Posts

The standalone branches are typically Mon-Fri, 08:00-ish -16:00 ish. Except holidays, If the standalone branch is the ONLY branch in that town, and it is busy enough, the they may be open saturday.

The branches inside Tescos, Big C, CentralWorld, Robinsons, etc shopping malls are usually open 7 days a week 10:00 ish -19:00ish, except a major holiday like Fathers day some mall branches may close or close early. In a town that is lower traffic, the mall location may take off sundays. Or close earlier like 18:00.

The ATM, CDM, and passbook machines are usually 24 hours, and are usually always at least 1 near the mall locations.

whistling.gifThe banks that are on what you in the U.K. would call "high street branches" are open Monday to Friday, and not weekends. (Saturday or Sunday).

Many of the bank branches in the shopping malls are open every day of the week, Saturday and Sunday included.

There is a Bangkok Bank branch in the Fortune Town Mall very close to where I live. It is open on Saturday and Sunday with teller counter services also. I have been there and there are many Thai customers who use the bank on weekends. In fact Saturday is one of their busiest days, as many Thais that work during the week do their banking business on Saturdays in those shopping mall branch banks.

The "main street" banks are usually closed on weekends.

It may seem strange but in May the 4th and 5th are holidays and the main Bangkok Bank headquarters on Silom road will probably be closed those days.

Appears the branch on the first floor of the HQ Bangkok Bank building on Silom Road which the OP is asking about is only open Mon-Fri according to the Bangkok Bank Location Search Webpage. In fact, the Location Search page showed branches located in Bangkok, Bang Rak district which Silom is part of are only open Mon-Fri. Usually standalone branches are Mon-Fri with some doing up to noon on Saturday morning. Branches in malls are quite often open 7 days a week.
