hi just a quick one if someone can help.....i am arriving in Thailand on a 30 exemption visa, then travelling over to Laos over land. on my reentry back to Thailand will i recieve another 30 day or 14 day visa. im actually flying out of Thailand 17 days after my return so should i carry my onward ticket ?

Depends where you are from, G7 country passport holders get 30 days.

If you get 30 days or 15 days actually depends on your nationality.

If you are from a G7 country, you will get 30 days. if not, you will get 15 days but you can extend that by 30 days for 1,900 baht.

Arriving without a visa only provides a "visa exempt entry"

Your post lacks some vital detail like what nationality you are.

Be aware that attempting to board flight without a visa and onward ticket within 30 days risks refusal.

sorry guys im from the UK, and yes i already have my onward flight booked out of Thailand

UK is part of the G7, so you get 30 days on arrival by land.

nzexpat is meaning that when you fly to Thailand you must have proof of onward travel within 30 days of arriving, otherwise the airline can refuse you boarding. So the question is if you have a ticket out of Thailand for going to Laos or is your flight home within 30 day of your first arrival in Thailand. If not, you better get a tourist visa or risk being denied boarding.
