Hi Guys,

Just wanted to find out if you had any tips for a recruitment agency as well as any additional advice on how to manage Thais.

I am currently using JobThai.com to source employees (accountants, engineers, technicians, BOI, etc.) however I have been through literally thousands (1000's) of resumes and sent out hundreds(100's) of interviews for which only a fraction of people replied and then an even smaller fraction actually turned up to the actual interview......

At this point in time, I have gone through ALL the resumes within a 30 minute - 60 minute ETA radius (this means amount of time it takes to get to work from leaving their hometown) and I still haven't managed to find anyone to handle an electrical engineering position as well as a mechanical engineering position.

I got quotes from JobtopGun and Jobsdb but they are asking for a membership fee of 40,000 baht + avg. 3000baht per month (Jobsdb) or 11,000/Month (JobTopGun).

Anyone have any advice.

Thanks.

why dont you go through the technical body shops in BKK will PM you the names of a few, this way they will do all the pre-qualification of personnel for you and you only looking as short listed candiates, yes this may cost a little more, but most the leg work is done for you

Hi Soutpeel,

Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately, the job will be in Rayong/Chonburi area so BKK is not an option for me (unless they are willing to move).

At the moment I am in urgent need of electrical engineers to put machinery together. The only requirements are that they are able to read an electrical diagram and work a hard and honest day's work each day for the duration of their contract. If they can read English then even better.

I will try looking at the body shops in and around my area, hopefully they won't mind if I steal a few employees from them :P

Thanks again for your help Soutpeel.

If anyone has anymore suggestions, I am all ears.

not being funny please read what I wrote, I said the body shops were BKK based, not that the personnel are BKK based, they will have personnel on their books for country wide, anyways sent you a few names of body shops on a PM
