She must be here when the application is done. She has to do the statement and sign it.

    Can't she not do that before she leaves Thailand and I will apply later for my 1 year extension with all the documents signed by her, the photos etc

    I think you will find that they will not let her do the statement ahead of time. They do the statement on their computer print it out and then it is signed by both of you. It also needs to be done on the same date that extension is done.
