Bonanza given ultimatum to produce documents to confirm legitimate ownership

BANGKOK: -- The Royal Forestry Department will formally ask the operator of Bonanza Speedway to forward evidence of land ownership documentation.

Failure to prove right of ownership will result in a complete demolishing of all buildings and the land being returned to the state.

Surawut Jaikitsuwan, the head of the Forest Protection and Fire Control Division of the 8th Forest Resource Management Office, stated that he has signed official papers notifying the owners of Bonanza Speedway that they must produce documentation proving ownership of the 166 rai of disputed land within 30 days.

Failure to do so will result in all buildings and structures being demolished.

Also failure to meet the deadline will result in a suit being filed for eviction from the property and at this stage of the proceedings the owners must produce papers proving ownership within 15 days.

Meanwhile police investigators at the Pak Chong police station have filed charges against the executives of Bonanza Speedway for violation of Land, Forest Conservation and Agricultural Reform Land Laws which forbid the construction of buildings on national parks property without permission.

They included Phupha Thechanarong, Preechakorn Prabsa-ngob and Nitthichet Sutthicharoenkun.

In another development in the investigation being carried out on the Moon Dance housing project owned by a popular TV host, Col. Sommai Busaba, the legal advisor with the 2nd Region Army Corp, revealed that investigators have discovered that the property sits on national park lands.

Originally the land was being reserved for farmers by the Agricultural Land Reform Office but somehow a title deed was issued for a housing estate instead.

This indicates a criminal intent and an illegal issuance of the title deeds.

"Originally the land was being reserved for farmers by the Agricultural Land Reform Office but somehow a title deed was issued for a housing estate instead."

I am willing to help clarify the "somehow" part. "Somehow" covers an official at the land office, and he will be easy to identify, as his name is on the title deed.

So on 9 April they were given 15 days to produce those same documents

Bonanza has 15 days to provide land documents

http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/815960-bonanza-has-15-days-to-provide-land-documents/?p=9288070&hl=%2Bbonanza

On the 15th day they are given 30 days, and probably 30 days from now they will be given 60 days to still produce those same documents.

Isn't this procedure familiar with previous governments? Sure this government is different from the others. Costas?

How many ultimatums it normally takes before it goes under the rug?

Shocking, how on earth could this happen in a country full of righteous, honest, trustworthy, decent and morally aligned human beings? crazy.gif

If there's a prima facie case take it to court and let the accused produce all supposed documents in their defence.

Sorry, TIT so we will give you a deadline to produce and if the family water buffalo takes ill please feel free to ask for an extension which, under the circumstances, will be granted ALTERNATIVELY if you feel obliged to flee the country !

If you think the paper really doesn't know what's going then you're the idiot...
