Info needed: I leave Thailand for good the day after my 90 day check in is due.

Featured Replies

Hello all. I hold a UK passport and I'm on a non-immigrant visa with work permit and I need to check in with authorities every 90 days. I am leaving Thailand for good on the 26th April, but my 90 day check-in date is the 25th. Do I need to go? I went to the Immigration office in Chiang Mai (where I live) and they were very vague and told me I can check in in Bangkok (where I've been for the last week). I was hoping that as I leave the country the very next day I wouldn't have to go and check in, but I don't want to risk the fine. I read something about being able to report up to 7 days after your 90 day date so I'm hoping I'll be able to avoid a trip to the immigration office. Is anyone able to tell me definitively whether I still must go and check in?

Thank you!

If you are leaving for good don't worry about it. It's only if you were going out for a visit they may pick it up on your next report.

As said no problem if you are not returning.
