I am guessing he has some money stashed in Hong Kong or somewhere nearby. Having lots of connections with the right people helps....or diplomatic immunity.

A bit like when Yingluck or Chalerm went on overseas trip with suitcase after suitcase and diplomatic immunity. One could only guess how much cash they moved.

The uniformed man in the picture is Assistant police chief Lt-General Prawut Thawornsiri. who, I am sure, looks stunned by the amount of property that Pongpat managed to amass during his police career.
