Hi Moonseeker,

Thanks for taking the time to reply...........

I'll take a look at the Links and see what's what.

Here in the UK I have always been involved in Personal protection dogs.

My wife and I are emigrating in a few months - We've considered bringing a dog with us but are concerned about the adjustment to the climate, plus the costs appear prohibitive.

Hi Andy

Must be hard to leave your friends behind. I am not sure what is involved in bringing a dog with you, some other members might know more about this. Sadly there are many neglected Soi dogs anywhere in Thailand and many of our Buddhist friends could care less or even worse, but many foreigners also just see them as a nuisance.

There is a guy in Pattaya who has a bunch of beautiful and lovely Soi Dogs, he takes with him on his bike side-car. Makes me happy every-time I see them.

I am sure you will find ways to get involved in K-9 over-here.

Best of luck and regards.

Maybe have a look and search in the Plants, Pets and Vets Forum here. It has been discussed before.

There is actually a pinned topic on Importing a Pet near the top of the page.
