ED Visa got rejected because handing in paperwork late to school

Featured Replies

I have a friend (doesnt have a thaivisa account) on a ED extension.

He said he handed his paperwork from his Laos extension last week, I think he said he did the extension in Laos in March or February.

So what are his options? Will he just need to do the Laos run again to extend?

That makes no sense at all ? An extension in Laos for an Ed Visa in Thailand ?

Maybe he has a single entry visa and needs the paperwork from his school to extend it at Immigration in Thailand,

Best you explain what a "Laos extension" is and how that relates to a Thai "Ed visa"

Extensions are done at immigrations offices in Thailand.

Visas are obtained at embassies or consulates outside of Thailand.

If your friend is really studying, ie attending classes regularly, he will have to get a new single-entry non-B visa from a Thai consulate and then get the school to work right away on the documents for the extension.

Alternatively, he can get a tourist visa.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

And clearer explanations of everything are obtained on ThaiVisabiggrin.png

A Non-B would be of no use to a student, surely he would be better off with a Non Imm Ed ?

Just typo. I am sure he meant a non-ed visa.

Yes, I meant a non-Ed. Predictive text on the phone messing things up.
