I plan to go to the U.K alone to apply for a non-imigrant visa for myself and my wife and kids, who will stay in Thailand. Upon my return to Thailand, my visa will be activated, but what is the best way to activate their visas? Are there any risks in activating their new visas in Mae Sai?

Thanks in advance for any advise.

They will not have a legally issued visa and will only receive a 30 day entry without visa stamp on a return to Thailand. Only your passport, which shows you were outside of Thailand when the visa was issued, will be accepted.

Maybe they will not check? I would not count on it.

I doubt the Embassy/Consulate will issue the visa if there is no exit stamp from Thailand.

I assume you have a job to justify a Non Imm B visa?

I suggest you get your visa first, then do a famly trip to Penang, KL or Singapore,

to apply for the visas for the family.
