Hi guys, a tricky question for you.

I have a double entry tourist visa for Thailand.

I intend to extend the 60 days to 90 days for both entries giving me 180 days in total.

If I want to go to Laos for a week on the first entry, does my return to Thailand cancel the first entry and trigger the second entry?

If so, is there any way I can get around this?

Yes!

Unless a a re-entry permit is purchased from immigration for 1000 Bht !

Now lets have the "really tricky" question ! biggrin.png

Simply get a re-entry permit for your trip to Laos. This will keep your first entry alive.

The cost is 1,000 baht and you fill in a form and must also provide a copy of your passport and a pass photo. You apply at an immigration office.

When you re-enter Thailand you fill in the number of your re-entry permit on the arrival card and immigration will stamp you in with the old permission to stay date.
