Any one been on a recent visa run using the Nong Khai/ Vientiane crossing and if so has the $30US fee increased in the last 3 months? Also can't remember if it is one or two 'photo's' required.

Yes, as of two weeks ago it was still $30, and one photo required. If you don't have a photo, I believe they charge you $1 to take your photo there.
