Greatful if anyone could offer advice. I was issued an ED visa for 90 days in June 2012. I have then been on extensions of stay based on that visa since then. My studying come to an end next month and I was planning on going to Vientiane for a double entry tourist visa. I read somewhere that there could be a problem to do with my extension of stay. Does anyone know if this is the case?

Thanks in advance

As I wrote in the other topic you posted in you need a letter from the school stating your studies have ended on the date you leave the country or a day or two after. Immigration at the Nong Khai crossing will not let you leave the country if you do not have the letter to cancel your extension.

If the date on the letter was before the date you leave you would be on an overstay from that date.

If you don't want to deal with getting the letter you can go to Savannakhet for your 2 entry tourist visa. Immigration at the bridge there does not ask for the letter.
