Hi All, have been given different advise re the Nisan SR20 AND the F-CON V PRO FCP type A 42012-kk001 units fitted to my Mazda RX8.

The issue is no spark at the plugs.

Have been advised to run the car on The SR20 ECU only.

Have also been advised to remove the The SR20 unit and run on The F-CON only.

The F-Con unit was checked Friday in sit u, was told it is ok, need to remove the SR20 unit, rewire and re fit The F-CON at a cost of 12000 Baht.

Also the car would need to be taken to his workshop some 300 kilometers North of Pattaya, he was the Guy who did the installation of The F-CON in the first instance.

I put to him could the car not be started on the other ECU, so I could drive the car to his workshop, no it will not work.

The Garage where the car is at the moment, says yes it can, will bring in an auto electrician to do the job, cost 5000 Baht labour + parts.

The other issue is, I do not know whether a pin code has been entered into the F-Con or not, if it has, then only the original installer will be able to work?.

The engine is Nissan SR20 DET, Turbo Greddy TD06 - 20G, Injectors Sard Racing.

The problems with this car have driven me to distraction.

Any help or advise would be gratfully received.

Why don't you get the wiring diagram of the SR20 ECU and the F-CON and check it yourself?

If you do have not spark, check the wiring to the coils and from the coils to the plugs. Sound to me like the FCON was wired in wrong.

You have to run the car on SR20 ECU OR the FCON, since it is a standalone ECU.
