My 10 year old dog died from eating something which I first thought may have been something a neighbour gave him. Recently, I've seen many toads around a pond he used to go to. Could he have died from eating a dead toad? He was salivating a lot and eyes looked very distant.

poor boy looks like he has eaten one of those frogs with[lumps on his body] and they do release a poison.

we get a lot in our garden during the rainy season,as we have a pond aswell so you have to be vigalent all the time.

How do you determine if a Thai frog or toad is poisonous or not?

Is it OK to handle frogs and/or toads (without eating them of course?)

Thais often act like they are dangerous and tell me not to touch them.

What is the worst that could happen if i handled them and did or did not wash my hands after?

I think they are all basically harmless to touch but in SEA you never know.
