How long of a turnaround for tourist visa in Phnom Penh?

Featured Replies

Just heading to Phnom Penh for a tourist visa in the next week and wondering if anybody has been there lately? Is it possible to apply for a visa on Monday morning and then pick it up the next morning and get a flight back on Tuesday night? Thanks for any help.

As far as I know that is not possible.

Normal is 3 or 4 day service unless you use an agent. With the right agent and the willingness to pay the extra charges it is possible to get it the next afternoon.

Thanks for the response. Any idea what the extra charges are or an agent I could contact? May be worth it to expedite the process.

Think it is about $20 above the visa fee of $40.

Two ways to skin this cat:

1. Do yourself at the embassy. Application in my 11 and two working days to process, e.g., In by 11 a.m. on a Monday...pick up on Wednesday afternoon (2 p.m. onwards).

2. Use an agent (every guest house has a tourist/visa desk or any travel agency in town ). Normal service same as above but save trip to embassy and back and wait in line time. Express service...small extra fee but one-day turnaround, e.g., Passport to agent by 10 and pickup next day usually from 3 p.m. onwards.

Don't forget to check the calendar for any official Thai and Khmer holidays. The embassy will be closed for all of them and not accepting or processing any applications.

agent has 3 day (extra $5) , 2 days ( extra $10), 1 day ( next day) (extra $15)

even for 3 day service its worth it not to stand inline and tuk tuk 4x

I paid 60$ for next day pick-up with Mr.Keo.a couple of months ago.

Supposedly there are still agencies that are still able to do double entries

agent has 3 day (extra $5) , 2 days ( extra $10), 1 day ( next day) (extra $15)

Always had a bit a trouble with maths I take it...these "word" problems are always particularly tricky ?

Depends on what basis that "O" visa is being requested.

PP is never an easy source for any visa

Is this a repeat posting of a question to which answers have already been provided ?
