May 11, 201511 yr A+. Had to take the kids for their Thai passports. Nice office, efficient, pleasant service. One of the best experiences I've ever had in a government office anywhere. Yay! Let's hope other offices follow their lead.
May 11, 201511 yr Larry, Where is that office located? Thanks At City Hall, next door to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Precisely, Google Maps coordinates 18.837026, 98.971213, ground floor. Enter the building on the east side, turn left and its the second office on the left. Agreed, excellent service and at 1000B a passport, considerably better value than the bloody UK.
May 11, 201511 yr Absolutely agree Larry. My son is disabled, uses a wheelchair and has significant issues controlling fine movements. First they escorted us to the disabled parking and to the office. The ladies were great with him, really supportive and friendly. My missus insisted on taking a photo of the kids near a big mural even when I pointed out the no photos sign. A number of passing officers just laughed and waived to my son, saying no problem. As we were leaving the officers who photographed and finger printed him walked by and all shouted him by name. His smile was wonderful! Efficient, effective and very nice people with a great customer service attitude. Somehow, I don't think renewing his UK passport will be so pleasurable! I shall report on that. May 12, 201511 yr Author Thanks for sharing your story, Baerboxer. ------ Thailand is a place of highs and lows.. Some stuff is great, other things, not so great. So, I wanted to give credit where credit is due. And, it makes me optimistic that other things might become nice and professional like this office.
