Texas shootout among rival biker gangs leaves 9 dead

What does the NRA have to do with it?

Isn't their motto a gun in every motorcycle or something. Oh yes their motto is guns do not kill people. Does Texas have an open carry law? Reminds me of the movie "Gunfight at the OK corral" only the fastest draw came out alive.

At least the bikers had taste for the location of the shoot out. Twin Peaks Restaurant is a chain mostly in Cracker Ville,USA.

Is that macaroni and cheese? I love macaroni and cheese.

That would be silicone and cheesecake, if you're thinking 'chowin' down'.

Wow! That shot makes me hungry!!!!

Maybe I'm missing something, but that's a pretty skimpy plate of food. If they're going to use big plates, they should probably pile on more food... (Even the mac and cheese is a tiny portion)

So you are blaming the NRA and the state of Texas, for the shoot-out between two outlaw biker gangs? OMG!

The plate of food held by the hideous silicone sisters.

I did not mean hungry for food, Impulse smile.png Think the portion on that plate was extra tiny to allow the beholder to focus on the more important things in life wink.png

Maybe some of these "hideous silicone sisters" should have been working the sucker list of Australians from this thread:

I knew a lot of Bandidos back in the day. Worked with one while bouncing at a club, local Sergeant At Arms, loved my young son and would have fought to the death to protect him, he needed it back in those days (former Navy Seal now). Great folks to have on your side, not so great when too many all got together. Quite a few were Vietnam Vets, some didn't quite make it all the way back if you get my drift. Us Vietnam Vets were pretty much accepted by the group. One backed me up in a fight in another club I bounced at when the knives came out, never bring a knife to a gunfight...lol. No no shots fired, no need, I and my Vet friends were better armed, the knives hit the floor. My ex-wife, the Jewish Princess with a squadron commander Col. father, rode with and was friends the National Sergeant At Arms. Big man...lol. I never had a problem with them. Put 2 rival gangs together, if, if the leaders had good intentions it is still just asking for trouble. Mostly, if you didn't screw with them back in those days they didn't screw with you. I don't have a clue as to what they are like today, it's been many years since and a stint as a law enforcement officer. Certainly glad no cops were killed and no bystanders.

From the FB page yesterday of the Twin Peaks restaurant in Wacko Texas. Recall the OP mentioned the (Yosemite Sam) restaurant owner invited the gangs to the premises but the community rules of the Forum here prohibit my publishing the Twitter photo of the gal, guns, gravy, god, gays, grits, goons the restaurant published alongside the RSVP invite.

Facebook post promoted a Sunday special today at Twin Peaks Waco (from its FB page)

Stars Pledge To Wear Orange For National Gun Violence Awareness Day

Today a broad coalition of leading organizations, cultural influencers, community members and activists unveiled “Wear Orange” (www.wearorange.org), a new campaign that will amplify existing efforts to reduce gun violence in America.

To help honor the 88 Americans whose lives are cut short by gun violence every day — and the countless survivors whose lives are forever altered by shootings each year — the coalition has designated June 2, 2015 as the first annual National Gun Violence Awareness Day. On this day, campaign partners invite everyone who agrees we can do more to save American lives from gun violence to do one simple thing: Wear Orange.

https://www.looktothestars.org/news/13693-stars-pledge-to-wear-orange-for-national-gun-violence-awareness-day

Wearing orange or any such thing is a pretty weak statement but then the liberal left is not particularly known to be effective in the face of the National Rifle Association which remains loudly silent on this massive and RSVP shootout down there Wacko Texas way.

So where wuz the Texas civilian militia that protects citizens against citizens? Just slow and distracted or are these bikers just not citizens.

Regardless, with the 2016 campaign cranking up and the NRA having up to this point a $230 million political warchest, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet and Michael Bloomberg with their combined wealth exceeding the GDP of Thailand, are preparing to counter NRA and the Koch Bros to support improved gun laws.

The Gun Control Movement Just Landed a Game-Changing Ally

The NRA's biggest problem is they really can't reach out to anyone who doesn't own a gun. Meanwhile, the gun control folks have suffered over the years from the waxing and waning of public concern about guns that usually only spikes upward when a horrifying or high-visibility shooting takes place. Guess what? The kind of money represented by Gates, Buffet and Bloomberg (and the rest of the hi-tech community, by the way) can go a long way towards funding ongoing, grass-roots activities that the NRA would find it difficult, if not impossible to match. In the last month, Bloomberg's group Everytown forced Target to declare itself a gun-free zone, and now they are trying to add Kroger to the gun-free list as well. Notice any big retailers inviting open-carry activists into their stores?

I have been once in Vegas. Nobody goes for the food. The smiles come from the huge tips they get from lads swilling beer.

Blame it on the Harley's , the bikers got frustrated for getting nowhere riding them slow hogs. Apparently the fight started in the loo, the guy with the smallest member was probably jealous and started it.

Just saw a report by the Waco PD..

Significant Update on Twin Peaks Shooting:

192 individuals are being arrested and processed this morning in reference to the Twin Peaks Shooting. They will all face Engaging in Organized Crime charges. They are being booked and processed at this time. McLennan County District Attorney is involved in our investigation and has been assisting us throughout the night.

TABC is implementing a Summary Suspension closing Twin Peaks for at least 7 days. This is not a punitive action on TABC's part but done due to the ongoing danger it presents to our community. They are conducting a parallel investigation and further action may be forthcoming.

Police there say they have found chains, knives, brass knuckles and guns all over the scene and they are preparing to head off retaliation by members of the various gangs in the state and in the region, to include nationally, although the biker gangs pretty much hang out in southern states which are warm most of the year and the bikers can roar around in the fair weather.

With nine biker-gangsters dead the planting season in Waco will begin early this year.

I remember when I used to live near Angels Acres On Vancouver Island. The annual gathering of the family the police would wait for them to leave the property and give them an escort to the ferries to leave the Island. Never any trouble.

I also lived in Southern Alberta were we had an annual Tusker. All the gangs that wanted to come did come none wore their colors and no damage was done.

To be honest though I like this story. These guys are the real deal. You donot mess with Texas and these guys exemplify that.

It's this thuggish, knuckle dragging mentality that perpetuates the 'shoot now, ask questions later' gun violence in the US.

...yet parroting the oft promoted sentiment of many, if not most Texans who proudly perpetuate such an image.

Bandidos are not so great to have in your community. In my community the members of the local chapter were regular customers in my store. Always treated me well, but then I am no biker. But I understand that these are not good people and would not have wanted my son to have had any interactions with them where he could be led to the mistaken notion that the Bandidos members retained any redeeming social qualities.

What planet do you live on ?

And what planet do you live on? What, exactly does the NRA have to do, with a bunch of criminals having a shootout. Do you really think these guys got their weapons at Walmart? Do you really think that background checks, etc. is going to deter these people from buying a firearm? Their gang already, probably makes a good amount of money selling illegal firearms.

I guess your approach of a community marshmallow roast at Twin Peaks didn't work out so well.
