Education visa paperwork problems

Featured Replies

After receiving a red stamp in my passport from Vientienne last year after 4 consecutive 6 month tourist visasI decided to get an education visa last year and received a visa no problem.

My year long education visa expires on the 20th may. I went to the school at the beginning of the month paid for a second years tuition and was told the paperwork would be ready to collect fro the 15th.

I went today to pick it up and was told the guy at immigration who needed to sign it had been unavailible and that I may get it tomorrow but no guarantees.

I have a flight booked tomorrow evening to Udon Thani where I intended to stay the night and exit thailand on wednesday.

If the paperwork is not ready what are my options?

If I go to Cambodia on a wednesday how many days will i get on re entry?

If I went to Laos would I be able to get a 6 month tourist visa. Does my onevyear education visa restart the count re the consecutive visa count? I can show evidence of funds in Thailand to support my stay.

Do you have a letter from your school to cancel your current extension? Nong Khai immigration will not let you leave without it.

Your ED visa broke the chain of back to back tourist visas you had. You can get another one now.
