New Schweppes C2 lemon soda

Featured Replies

I tried this new flavour yesterday as I couldn't find the regular Manao soda in Makro Mae Rim. Maybe it's an acquired taste but I wasnt impressed. Its like someone has sprayed lemon pledge furniture polish into your mouth. Luckily I found the Manao (Lime) soda in a nearby ma and pa store. Schweppes had redesigned the can so if you're looking for it, it now had a silver top third and the rest is the normal green and yellow design.

Funny how one gets use to the simple things in life....but if someone changes them, it puts you out of wack for a while.

Ok time for a gin and manao soda....

Wished they still made the Schweppes Ginger beer here.

regards worgeordie

I tried a can of it today, and I don't like it either. Why did they bother, when their Manao soda is fine, and fresh lime and soda is even better..!

A few years ago, Rimping sold a Kenyan made Ginger Beer.

Elephant was trade name, marvellous just like having your throat slit with every swallow.

Cleaned out your throat better then anything I have known.

Schweppes still make a ginger ale but unfortunately its a bit weak on the ginger flavor. An Austrakian outfit called Bunderberg make a great ginger beer.....their rum is ok too but for some it's an acquired taste
