I arrived six years ago with a one year multiple from Los Angeles. When that finished I went to Penang and got another. At this point I met and married (amphur) a gorgeous widow who for the past four years has done a remarkable job of taking care of this "old dog".

At the end of two years I began visa runs, first to M'sia out of HatYai and then to Myanmar out of ChiangRai.

With all ths scary talk about maybe being tossed out to look for a less respectable place, I transferred a little more than 200 G's into my local bank account and was all set to go to ChiangMai to do the paper work.

But my very bright Thai angel said why don't I call them first to see what papers we need to bring, so she did.

ChiangMai said take all your papers and go to a Thai consulate, don't come to ChiangMai.

A very nice guy (Thai immigration northern Thailand) said "don't worry about visa runs. They'll be around for a long time.

What do the rest of you think? :o
