TheRascal
My gf and I are going to the UK for a month for a holiday. Does anyone have any tips on insurance companies and ideas of costs so that she's covered incase of emergencies?
theoldgit
My partner used to use local companies, cheap enough but most of them require you to settle any bills and claim back when you return to Thailand, not always practical. World Nomads is pretty good and part of the BUPA group of companies, you can purchase and even claim online, they will settle medical bill directly: worldnomads.com She took an annual policy out this year with a UK based company who cover Thai residents, though they also offer single trip insurance, both of which you can buy online: columbusdirect.com I'll move this to the Insurance Forum, you might also want to talk to AA Insurance Brokers, who sponsor that forum.
