Unexpected Twist in North Pattaya Petrol Station assault and robbery case

lie-4.jpg

PATTAYA:--The 28 year old victim of an “attack” in the early hours of Tuesday at a North Pattaya Petrol Station has admitted he fabricated the crime in order to raise money to pay for an outstanding football gambling debt.

Khun Patarachai is an IT Engineer, who has a secret passion for online football gambling and appears to have accrued a debt of over 30,000 Baht. He was too scared to tell his parents and ask them for the money to repay the debt so decided to fabricate an assault and robbery at the Petrol Station on Tuesday so he could pawn his gold necklace and report the item as stolen instead.

The so-called injuries the man sustained during the attack were all self-inflicted and after a quick trip to Hospital he reported the incident at Pattaya Police Station, who were unaware he had the stolen gold necklace in his pocket the whole time.

After he completed the Police Report, later on Tuesday Morning, Khun Patarachai pawned the gold necklace and repaid his gambling debit with the proceeds.

From the original story

Later on Tuesday Security Cameras were analyzed by Police who determined that up-to 4 men were involved in the incident and clear images of the two attackers were obtained by Investigators.

So the police saw ghosts, because the idiot now says there was nobody involved.

More quality police work. NOT?

Doesn't make sense or does it? Using allegedly would make sense.

Dear ThaiUser: I see you have fallen into common farang sink hole: "Doesn't make sense or does it?". You may come from culture where actions are supposed to make sense, but probably serve you well to discard that expectation whilst in the Kingdom.

Judging by the amount of gold on show at Pattaya Police station, the BIB have a nose for gold.
