1 Year to 5 Year License before Expiry Date

Hi All TV,

Please advise on the following. I have just renewed my Driving License and took a 1 year instead of my normal 5 years. I wish to get my 5 year license as Malaysia does not accept 1 year as validity to drive.

Please advise is it possible to get my new 5 year before my 1 year expires. Also can I get new 5 year renewed on a 90 day Non O visa.

Officially you need extension of stay for 5 year license, with non-O officially only 1 year ( has changed to 2 year recently but still temporary) will be issued.

I got a 5 year on a non-O, has stuff changed as I need another this month..?

You're not on non-O, you're on an extension of stay based on retirement.

My last five year was given with a one year Multl entry O visa....

Yes, that is a long term visa as well, so also 5 years possible.

But was only reassuring you since you mentioned you need a new one this month.
