Can anyone help me to identify/confirm the vegetables and fish in the attached?

1. ปลาทู = bplaa thuu (mackerel)

2. แตงโมอ่อน.....น้ำเต้า = Two vegetables. On the left, dtaaeng mo:h aawn (immature watermelon). On the right, naam dtao (bottle gourd) is the one with the longer crooked stem.

3. กะเฉดน้ำผัก = phak ga chaeht naam (water mimosa)

4. ฟักเขียว = fak khiao (green gourd or ash gourd or green melon)

5. เห็ดนางลม = het nang loam (not sure of the English name, loam means wind.

6. ดอกกุยช่าย = dok guy chai = chives (Allium tuberosum)

My wife says the little watermelons are steamed. The mushrooms are very common and seen often in the markets but I don't know the English name.

Note: I think #3 is in error, I believe it should be ผักกะเฉดน้ำ = phak ga chaeht naam.

Thank you for all those details and scripts. Much appreciated. To summarize;

#1 - PLA THU (ปลาทู)

English name: short-bodied mackerel

Scientific name; Rastrelliger brachysoma

#2 (LEFT) - TAENG MO ON (แตงโมอ่อน)

English name: immature/young/unripe watermelon

Scientific name: Citrullus vulgaris, Citrullus lanatus

#2 (RIGHT) - NAM DAO (น้ำเด้า)

English name: bottle gourd, calabash

Scientific name:Lagenaria siceraria

You have good eyes! I didn't realise that there were 2 different vegetables there.

#3 - PHAK KRACHET (ผักกระเฉด)

This is what I have on my list. I guess that PHAK KACHET NAM (ผักกะเฉดน้ำ) as you indicate, is the same. The R is missing, but I understand that this sometimes happens with Thai words.

English name: water mimosa

Scientific name: Neptunia oleracea

#4 - PHAK KHIAO (ฟักเขียว)

English name: ash gourd, fuzzy gourd, wax gourd (mature winter melon), white gourd, winter gourd (note that sometimes the same names for gourds are used for other gourds with different scientific names). I will check up as to whether it could be called both white gourd and green gourd.

Scientific name: Benincasa hispida

#5 - TYPE OF MUSHROOM

I wonder if you mean HET NANG ROM (เห็ดนางรม), which is the oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus)?

zeicheng has stated that it is HET NANG FA (เห็ดนางฟ้า), which according to my research is known as the Thai oyster mushroom (Lentinus sajor-caju (Pleurotus sajor-caju)).

I will have to try and confirm this.

#6 - DOK KUI CHAI (ดอกกุยช่าย)

English name: flowering chives (Asian/Chinese), garlic chive flowers

Scientific name: Allium tuberosum v.

zeichen, in a separate post has also advised me of the same details for numbers 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 and also advised that there are TUA FAK YAO (yard-long beans) on top of the #6 photo.

Thank you so much for your help with all these details. As always, my transliterations differ from yours, as I am using the RTGS spellings.

#3..Yes, PHAK KRACHET (ผักกระเฉด) is correct. It is spoken with a very soft "r" that should have been in the spelling.

#4..Not sure myself, (see khaio) is the color green in Thai so literally translated it would be green gourd or green melon.

#5..I've also heard this mushroom called HET NANG FA (เห็ดนางฟ้า). HET NANG ROM (เห็ดนางรม) could also be the same as (เห็ดนางลม) het nang loam as "Rs" and "Ls" often replace each other in spoken Thai here in Isaan.

#6..Yes, TUA FAK YAO are on top ot the Dok Kui Chai.
